We went to my aunt’s house to watch the Mayweather fight since we had no power at home. She lives on a lake, but then it rose 10 feet – so we have all had to stay. The streets are flooded with up to 10 feet of water in the area. And we have 3 small boats if necessary. But we are safe for now and hoping for the best.
NABF family – if you are able, please consider giving to the relief efforts of South Texas. This is an extremely critical situation, affecting so many people. And remember them in your prayers also. Regis and his family were evacuated from their home in New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 – that is when Houston became their home. He has said recently said of that experience that no one can imagine what it is like to be called a refugee in their own country. He is right – I cannot begin to imagine.
